Dori Urqhart

Dori received a BFA in photography from New York University. Upon graduation she joined Sesame Workshop in its interactive technologies department, developing educational CD-ROMs. After relocating to New Jersey, Dori was with the Princeton Office of architect Michael Graves in the communications department for four years before joining Howard Design Group Inc. in 1998. During her 10 plus years with HDG, she has worked on a large range of projects from photographic books to packaging,, transit posters to web campaigns.

Dori is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards in design, including a Case Circle of Excellence Gold Medal Award for her work on a photo book commissioned by Rutgers University, Illustra/Portrait of Rutgers; and a Silver Medal Award for a fundraising publication for Monmouth University. She was awarded a Sappi Ideas that Matter grant to produce the ABC Literacy Transit Posters.

When she has some free time, Dori loves to run outdoors (never on a treadmill), and enjoys hiking and backpacking.
